John R. “Jack” Bello, Jr. majored in Marketing at Fairfield University, earning his B.S. in 1980. Mr. Bello was awarded his M.B.A. from Babson College in 1982, and after working in Boston, he attended Stetson University College of Law and received his J.D., cum laude, in 1986. He has been with the firm since 1986 and he became a shareholder in 1992.
Mr. Bello enjoys an excellent reputation as a litigator in cases involving insurance law, business, contracts and real estate issues. He has developed expertise in life, health, disability, and real estate title insurance claims while also advising his clients in business litigation and real estate matters.
Mr. Bello has earned an “AV” rating from the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, the highest professional rating obtainable and is admitted to practice in all of the state and federal courts in Florida and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He has litigated cases throughout Florida as well as in numerous other states. Mr. Bello is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Court Mediator.
Mr. Bello is on the firm’s board of directors. He is the President of the Fishhawk Lions Club and for a number of years has served as Treasurer for the Tampa Chapter of the Coastal Conservation Association which protects the rights of recreational fishermen. He is also an active member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Valrico, previously serving as its Men’s Club President. In his spare time, Mr. Bello may be found at the arena rooting for the Tampa Bay Lightning, fishing in Tampa Bay, hiking a local trail, or enjoying time with his wife Laurie and his grandchildren.
